Creating Healthier Schools, One Child at a Time
At Health For Nigeria (HFN), our programs are designed to tackle one of the biggest barriers to education in Nigeria: poor access to healthcare. Every year, millions of school-aged children miss classes due to preventable illnesses like malaria, infections, and untreated injuries. Our mission is to ensure that no child’s education is disrupted because of a lack of healthcare.
Through innovative school health programs, community outreach, and partnerships, HFN delivers life-saving care and education to underserved communities. Each of our programs is focused on prevention, treatment, and empowerment, helping children stay healthy, attend school consistently, and achieve their full potential.

Nurse-A-School Program
Healthy Students, Better Learning
The Nurse-A-School Program places qualified healthcare professionals directly in schools, ensuring students have access to immediate care when needed. These nurses manage first aid, treat minor illnesses, and provide health counseling and referrals for more serious conditions.
Impact:
12 schools currently supported across 6 states
4,900+ clinic visits in 2024
50% reduction in absenteeism due to timely healthcare

School Health Clubs
Health Education for a Brighter Future
Our School Health Clubs give students essential knowledge about personal hygiene, nutrition, mental well-being, and first aid. These interactive sessions encourage students to become health ambassadors, sharing what they learn with their families and communities.
Impact:
13,000+ students engaged in health clubs in 2024
Topics include menstrual hygiene, drug prevention, and mental health

Project SafeCare (Sickbay Initiative)
Building Safe Health Spaces in Schools
Many public schools in Nigeria lack even the most basic medical facilities. Through Project SafeCare, we build and equip fully functional sickbays in schools, ensuring that students have a safe place to receive care when emergencies arise.
Impact:
Fully equipped sickbays established in multiple schools
Each sickbay stocked with medical supplies and first aid kits

Community Health Outreach
Taking Healthcare Beyond the Classroom
HFN’s outreach programs bring healthcare and education directly to underserved communities. We conduct free malaria testing, diabetes and hypertension screenings, and community health workshops that empower families to prioritize preventive care.
Impact:
Thousands of families reached each year
Increased awareness about hygiene and disease prevention
Every HFN program is built on the belief that healthy children learn better and grow into stronger communities. With your support, we can expand our reach and impact more schools, families, and communities across Nigeria.
